Chris Villa
Recognizing the industry’s need for truly qualified construction consulting services, Chris Villa, Lucca Group, Inc. Founder and President, envisioned creating a consulting company with high integrity, experienced construction experts, and value-added work product. In January 2017, after his retirement from a 32-year career with Kiewit, Chris founded Lucca Group, Inc. (LGI). Specializing in construction management, scheduling services, project controls, and client relations, LGI’s purpose is to provide clients “Excellence with Integrity”.
Chris graduated from Cal Poly’s Department of Engineering and began the following summer at Kiewit Infrastructure West. Working his way from new-hire engineer to leading Kiewit’s Northern California District, Chris has been exposed to all aspects of the construction industry. Over the course of his career, he has developed productive, working relationships with owners, contractors, subcontractors, etc.
Chris has successfully managed many infrastructure projects and has led the successful resolution of several contract disputes (valued at $100mil to $200mil). He is experienced in maintaining, negotiating, and developing valued industry relationships throughout the Northern California region.
Chris’s vision for LGI was to combine his experience and passion for the construction industry with the expertise of other seasoned construction and engineering professionals. Founding this company with past employees, mentors, mentees and friends (all experts in their own field of the construction industry), Chris established a team of expert consultants and industry professionals.
LGI’s team grew to include experts in project controls, business finance, construction operations, and project management with backgrounds in running field crews, managing schedules for large complex projects, negotiating with Dispute Resolution Boards, and consulting for major utility company construction programs. LGI partners hold advanced engineering degrees, professional certifications, and honorary diplomas at the school of on-the-job craft experience.
LGI supports diverse clients with varied needs – needs ranging from contract claim preparation, project scheduling services, change order management with scheduling support, and construction oversight and management.
